Our process

1. Initial consultation – 

We want to know your vision. An on-site consultation with your designer/installer will offer this opportunity. This time will be used to explore your property in its current state. The wants and needs of the landscape will be identified. Use this time to share with us your ideas, your likes and dislikes. Our experienced landscape designer and installer, Andrew, will combine your ideas with his knowledge and offer suggestions and solutions with the ultimate goal of bringing your vision to life. The necessities won’t be forgotten – this is the time to discuss budget, note measurements and take photos. We encourage you to ask questions and take your own notes as well. Before we bid you farewell for now, you will know when to expect follow-up with your design and/or estimate (step 2).   

2. Design and Estimate Presentation – 

The knowledge gained from our on-site visit with you is combined with our industry background and is put to paper. The creative process begins as we bring all the details together. It is at this step of the process that you can review our custom 2-D design with rendering of your future landscape. This is complete with a clearly outlined concept, detailed colored design of all elements and precise estimate of cost. Every ‘i’ is dotted, every ‘t’ is crossed and every penny of your investment in the project is accounted for. Our goal is to bring your vision to life with quality work while providing maximum value. This is the time to share your thoughts on the design. Take your time to look things over, envision the final product and let us know if adjustments are needed. Once the design concept has been finalized, we will review contract, warranty and payment details with you and provide our timeline for installation (step 3).  

3. Installation – 

As mentioned before, Andrew is your landscape designer and installer. You can rest easy knowing the install process will proceed without disruption as there is no hand-off of the project. When you work with Minscapes the vision transitions easily to reality and this ensures your landscape is exactly what was discussed. While we work hard at perfection with the install, we remain available for questions and will provide daily progress updates. We realize that the while this a worksite for us, this is still your home and we will treat it is we would our own. You will know when we arrive and we will always show up with clean and clearly marked trucks and equipment. As with all steps of the process, our attention to detail will not falter with the cleanliness of our worksite, which will be maintained in a neat and orderly fashion, no exceptions.  

4. Walk-Through – 

The moment has come; the project is complete! Together, we will once again explore your property. This time, however, your oasis awaits. As we walk through the landscape together, we will review the concept and design to show we have met, and exceeded, all of your expectations. Your landscape still needs to be nurtured so it may continue to grow and provide you with years of enjoyment. Don’t worry, we will use this time to provide you will all the basic knowledge you will need for initial care. In addition, a summary of general ongoing maintenance tips and techniques specific to your project will be provided. No need to take notes here, we take care of that for you with a print copy of your landscape care guide along with your final invoice. Now, enjoy the backyard!
